About Jasper

Jasper is a Memphis-based Black AFAB trans masc essayist and author. They use the intricacies of their identities and the most challenging periods of their personal journey to render lightness, humor, and fun into their art. Their work has been featured in Teen Vogue, Huffington Post, The Mary Sue, The Establishment, and others. One of Jasper's essays
can be found in the LGBT anthology Outside the XY: Queer, Black and Brown Masculinity, and in 2016,
Jaz started a humor site called QUNTFRONT with the goal of uplifting QTPoC voices and calling out white supremacy in media. Their first novel JUNIPER LEAVES is out now. They currently run a newsletter called JASPER with the hopes of bringing a little bi-weekly whimsy to people's inboxes. Jasper includes an ongoing interview series, Why Are You Funny, featuring queer Black and brown comedy writers.
